Optimize Performance for High-Quality, Repeatable Parts with ADDvance® Gas Connect for EOS

Jan 30, 2023

Gases are used in every step of the additive manufacturing (AM) value chain. From metal powder production and handling through the various 3D printing techniques to post-processing functions like cleaning and heat treatment, they help create quality outcomes for high-quality, repeatable metal parts.

Turnkey Solutions for EOS Printers

Linde ADDvance® Gas Connect

EOS is a leading supplier for responsible manufacturing solutions through industrial 3D printing technology. Their systems use Electron Beam Melting (EBM) or Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technologies to produce metal parts with high precision and complex geometries, for aerospace, medical, dental and other industrial applications. Linde has developed a complete gas supply solution – ADDvance® gas connect – especially for EOS 3D printers.

In addition to high-quality pure argon and nitrogen produced at ISO 9002-accredited facilities, and custom gas mixtures where required, we have a range of supply mode options to meet your printing volume requirements, whether for an individual printer or a multiprinter farm. Depending on your 3D printing gas needs, we can supply everything from single cylinders and cylinder clusters to microbulk (dewar) and bulk for on-site supply.

Our gas solutions also include advanced flow, monitoring and measurement capabilities through our gas panel. In addition to managing the precise and safe flow of gas, the gas panel allows for the automatic switchover from an empty cylinder to a full one. Linde can also offer you compressed air supply for your metal 3D printers in a variety of supply modes.

ADDvance gas connect contains at least:

  • 1 x gas supply of argon or nitrogen
  • 1 x gas panel
  • All required hoses and connectors for a typical EOS printer

Support Services Beyond Installation

Linde’s gas solutions, application technologies and state-of-the-art control and monitoring equipment are enabling 3D-printed objects that surpass the standards of manual manufacturing, reflecting our commitment to delivering premium quality standards that the automotive, aviation and medical industries can count on.

With an expert team of specialist additive manufacturing engineers, Linde can provide offer presale advisory service, so that you can be sure you are selecting the right gas and supply mode.

We recommend that you contact Linde as soon as you have ordered your new EOS metal 3D printer.
