Oxygen

Oxygen (O2) comprises 21 percent of the earth’s atmosphere and supports life. The presence of oxygen makes combustion possible. Colorless, odorless and tasteless, high purity oxygen (99.5 %) is used to support oxy-fuel cutting operations. Oxygen may be added in controlled amounts to GMAW shielding gases. Oxygen is also used as the plasma cutting gas (with Hafnium electrodes) on carbon steel.
