Among our range of products is Dry Ice
. Linde leverages its expertise to provide
dry ice for critical applications in a variety of industries including food, aerospace, manufacturing and more. We understand that each customer has special needs that can vary significantly from one another, but we can ensure that whatever your needs
are, and whatever industry you’re in, Linde has the right dry ice product for you.
What is Dry Ice?
Dry ice is formed when carbon dioxide reaches its solid state. It’s made by reducing the pressure and temperature of liquid CO2 to freezing point at -109°F (178.5°C). After frozen, the dry ice is then compressed under high pressure to
form nuggets, rice, pellets or blocks that are frequently cut into sized slices. Non-flammable, non-toxic and extremely cold, dry ice is a highly-effective refrigerant and is used in various applications including dry ice blasting, a non-abrasive
way to clean industrial equipment.
How is it Used?
With more than 80 years of experience and research, technicians and engineers at Linde are able to transform dry ice from the simple commercial refrigerant first used in the 1920's to forms that can now be used for multiple applications such as
- Food processing and storage
- Pharmaceutical and biotech
- Medical products
- Blast cleaning
- Research Shipping Indoor agriculture
To help ensure your ongoing success, our technicians and experts remain available after the sale to help troubleshoot process challenges.
